Aubrey Alexander
Aubrey graduated from the Violin Making School of America with honors. While still in school she began working at Moroz Violins, assisting John Moroz with instrument making, repair, and restoration. After graduating Aubrey continued working in the Moroz shop until she was asked to join the teaching staff at the VMSA, where she taught for five years. Aubrey then spent four years in Michigan at Grand Rapids Violins before moving to Illinois, where she now works for Sapp Violins. She continues to make new violins, violas, and cellos in her home workshop…when she’s not fishing.
Aubrey is a member of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers and the Violin Society of America. She also participates in the Oberlin Violin Makers and Violin Restoration workshops. She continues to develop friendships with luthiers from around the world.
