Peter Bingen

  VSA Silver Medal for Violin Tone 2024 VSA Certificate of Merit for Cello Tone 2022 First Prize, Art of Sound Competition 2012 VSA Certificate of Merit for Violin Tone 2006 Peter Bingen was born in Los Angeles and raised in the American Midwest.  A passion for art and woodworking led him to the North Bennet Street School in Boston, where he graduated from the Violin Making and Repair Program in 2006.  He subsequently worked for renowned maker David Gusset, and esteemed restorer Andrew Carruthers. Peter works from his studio in Minneapolis, MN. He makes new instruments, restores instruments for shops across the country, and provides adjustments for professional players.
