Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions govern your use of the AFVBM Members-Only Digital Platform. By accessing, using, browsing, downloading, streaming, or copying content on the AFVBM Members-Only Website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you may not access or otherwise use the AFVBM Members-Only Digital Platform.
AFVBM Members-Only Content is defined as photographs, measurements, videos, graphics, and any and all other content arising from or related to AFVBM meetings, exhibitions, or other AFVBM events posted on the AFVBM Members-Only Digital Platform.
License: As an AFVBM Member you have permission to use AFVBM Members-Only Content for educational, non-commercial use only. In some instances the AFVBM owns the copyright in AFVBM Members-Only Content, but in other instances third parties hold the copyright. Misuse of AFVBM Members-Only Content may undermine or eliminate access to such content for all AFVBM Members. Therefore, it is imperative that AFVBM Members comply with these Terms and Conditions for the benefit of the AFVBM and its membership. Your use of content on the AFVBM Website does not grant to you ownership of any content on the AFVBM Website.
Prohibited Use: Any commercial use (e.g., publishing or other commercial exploitation), or access, distribution, or transmission of AFVBM Members-Only Content to non-AFVBM members is strictly prohibited. Such misuse includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized downloading, streaming, reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, sale, or other transfer.
Violations: Violation of these Terms and Conditions may give rise to copyright infringement liability or liability under other applicable laws. The AFVBM may restrict, suspend, or terminate your use of, or access to, AFVBM Members-Only Content, and the AFVBM may suspended or expelled you from membership if we believe that you are in breach of or are attempting to breach our Terms and Conditions or applicable law, without notice or liability.
Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the AFVBM and its Board, employees, and agents harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, costs, losses (including without limitation consequential and indirect losses) and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your violation of these Terms and Conditions, applicable law, or other misuse of AFVBM Members-Only Content.
Disclaimer: The AFVBM does not guarantee the correctness of any content on the AFVBM Website, and the AFVBM disclaims all liability for inaccuracies, misdescriptions, or omissions concerning any of the content provided on the AFVBM Website. The AFVBM Website content is provided “as is,” without any warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. If you are dissatisfied with the AFVBM Website, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the AFVBM Website.
Copyright Agent and Takedown Requests: The AFVBM respects the intellectual property rights of others, and requires that AFVBM Members who use the AFVBM Website do the same. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please forward the following information to the AFVBM, pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2), named below:
- Your address, telephone number, and email address;
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
- A description of where the alleged infringing material is located;
- A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest; and
- A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
